Revalidation & Refresher Courses
Fifty-six training centers across the world have been accredited for conducting revalidation and refresher courses within the requirements of The Nautical Institute Dynamic Positioning Scheme.
The list of accredited training centers for the scheme and revalidation can be found below:

Select ‘Tecnico’ at the bottom of the page.
Select the Continuous Professional Development module.
Bram Offshore’s CPD can be used for the revalidation of the Nautical Institute’s DP Operator Certificate (DPO) and DP Vessel Maintainer Certificate (DPVM).
Bram Offshore offers this Nautical Institute-approved CPD free of charge to all its officers.
Keelson’s DP CPD is The Nautical Institute accredited program that is differentiated for role and rank onboard as defined by IMCA M117 and MTS PDDP2. This means that a DP master will get a different set of questions than a chief engineer, and a harder set of questions than a DPO.
The whole DP CPD cycle takes eight weeks. The process is simple – the learning is real!
The KM Continuous Learning Program is a key part of Kongsberg’s Continuous Professional Development initiative (K-CAT), tailored for DP Key professionals seeking certificate revalidation from The Nautical Institute. This comprehensive e-learning program covers essential topics such as DP Regulation & Guidance, DP Testing & Trials, DP Redundancy Concepts, and more.
Online and Self-Paced Learning: This program is exclusively online, with no need to attend a training center. It is fully self-paced, allowing participants to learn at their convenience on smartphones, tablets, or computers. Each module must be completed in sequence, with quizzes and assessments ensuring thorough understanding before moving to the next part.
The Maersk Training DP CPD is intended both for DPOs and DPVMs seeking to use CPD pathway to DP certificate revalidation, but also for other non-certified stakeholders who wish to enhance their knowledge on Dynamic Positioning and associated industry guidelines and best practice. The program is open for all, both individuals and as B2B solutions.
