This program initiates the DP Operator Training for Deck and Engine Officers aspiring to serve on vessels equipped with DP systems. All essential certifications required by participants under IMO regulations should be finished and current.
The instruction takes place in English through the utilization of Kongsberg’s K-Sim DP simulator equipment.
Following the training’s conclusion, an exam conducted on a computer will take place, and achieving at least 70% is essential to pass.
The evaluation is executed by the Directorate of the Maritime Simulators Center at Piri Reis University representing The Nautical Institute.
The Nautical Institute has given the green light for the 8th and 9th series of DP training programs to commence in early September 2024.
